Lockport, N.Y. (WKBW-TV) - Lockport police say one suspect has made their job a lot easier.

39-year old Christopher Crego has been on the run since last fall when he skipped his sentencing hearing for assault charges. He was re-arrested Wednesday, in Indiana, after police found his profile on the popular social networking websites Facebook and MySpace.

Crego's accounts had all of the information police needed to track him down, including where he was living in Terre Haute, Indiana, even his place of employment and hours he worked. After the discovery, Lockport Captain Richard Podgers contacted the U.S. Marshal's Office in Indiana and Crego was arrested at his workplace.

Crego was not discreet at all about his criminal history, he even posted a snapshot of a "Lockport's Most Wanted" article on his MySpace account. Police say he also posted comments declaring that "police will never catch me".

On top of assault, Crego is also facing drunk driving and possession of marijuana charges after he was pulled over a few weeks before he traveled to Indiana.

He is currently in custody in Indiana awaiting extradition back to Lockport.
