BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) -- The local head of the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People), Frank Messiah, spoke Wednesday at Canisius College about the changes in America following the election of the first African-American President.

Messiah said that even though the election of Obama was an historic event, racism is still a problem in the United States.

Messiah was critical of the criticism being placed on the President, and hopes that Obama's supporters speak-up more in the future.
