WASHINGTON, DC ( WKBW ) Family members gathered in Washington, DC Tuesday to hear the findings from the National Transportation Safety Board, and review the release of its investigation into the crash of Continental Flight 3407.

The one year anniversary of that crash is coming up Friday February 12th. The crash took place in Clarence Center, NY killing 50 people, including an unborn child, and the homeowner on Long Street there.

In his "Eyewitness News" report, anchor Keith Radford spoke with Joe Pettys, brother of Mary Pettys who died in the crash. Pettys explained how emotional it was to watch the presentation of the final two minutes of the flight before the crash.

Aviation attorney Justin Green telling Radford the report validated that pilot error took a perfectly good plane and crashed it into the ground.
