It's not everyday that a major Hollywood star can be seen in the middle of Main Street in downtown Buffalo.

Actor Keanu Reeves spent much of the day on the wet, cold pavement shooting a key scene for his upcoming film.

"Wow, he's handsome," said Karen Polanski. The Clarence Center resident took a break from her job downtown to catch a glimpse of the actor.

"This is just amazing. Just to see all this action down here in downtown Buffalo is great," she said.

Snow was falling for much of the day, as the crew moved cameras and lights for a scene outside of the Hyatt Regency Hotel.

"The weather was a little bit uncooperative this morning, but a number of people got in here with snow shovels and brooms and cleaned the area," said Tim Clark with the Buffalo Niagara Film Commission.

"And believe it or not, it worked out pretty well," he said.

Shooting continues in Niagara Falls Thursday evening.
