"Hulk" Parties at World's Largest Disco

Thousands of disco fans boogied the night away in the downtown Buffalo Convention Center on Saturday at the World's Largest Disco. The annual event has become a Thanksgiving weekend tradition and draws party-goers from across the country.

For many it's a night for regular people to dress up and cut loose. "Oh you dance, you see costumes. It's like a giant costume party," says Ann Thomas, a Buffalo schoolteacher, "It's better than halloween actually because it's grown up. Have some drinks and listen to some awesome music."

Dan Milovich is a Buffalo firefighter re-living his glory days dressed in a vintage suit. "This is vintage. This is vintage polyester," says Milovich, "Only problem is I lost the shoes. Can't find a pair of platforms anymore."

This year's world's largest disco has been sold out since August, and 70's star Lou Ferrigno -- the "Incredible Hulk" -- joined the fun this year. "It's a great thing for charity," says Ferrigno. The event benefits the children at Camp Good Days and Special Times.

Chris Kirkpatrick from boy band N'Sync is also lending his star power to the event, although he admitted feeling under-dressed without a real 70s outfit. "I didn't realize it was going to be that kind of crazy. I felt like a few people would dress up... and now I feel like I'm sticking out because I'm not dressed up," says Kirkpatrick.

"It's a fun time. Everyone's happy. They're all smiling. There's 7,000 people here, there's probably 5,000 on the dance floor at any one time," says Dave Pietrowski, the Disco's organizer.
