The jury started deliberations early Thursday afternoon in the case of a Buffalo woman charged with attempted murder. 22 year old Adrienne March is accused of shooting 27 year old Frank Militello and his girlfriend Keile Coleman as they were riding in their car in North Buffalo last spring. They sustained serious injuries and may never fully recover. Police originally said this was a drug-related crime and the defense claims the shooting was in self defense.

The jury in the trial was out for deliberations for eight hours on Thursday and returned to court several times with questions for the judge. The jury members have to decide if March is guilty of several different charges including attempted murder in the first and second degrees, and assault and weapons charges. "There's a 7 count indictment so whatever issues they're mulling over I think it's pretty complex as cases go and so they have a lot of work ahead of them I think," March's attorney Joseph Terranova said. "They are also considering our request that they acquit on the ground of justification of self defense."

March could face up to 25 years to life in prison if convicted. Family members from all sides were in court Thursday and most of them say this case is truly just devastating for all three families involved.

Thursday night there was still no verdict so deliberations continue into Friday.
