Buffalo, NY (WKBW) -- Here are the top stories from Good Morning Western New York.

The Buffalo Common Councilman who pleaded guilty to misusing campaign funds last week, resigned Wednesday night. The task now turns to finding a replacement for Brian Davis to represent the Ellicott District constituents.

Tests have confirmed that the death of a 10th grade Niagara-Wheatfield student was a result of contracting the H1N1 virus. Health officials say that the teen did not have any underlying medical conditions, however no other information is being released at this time.

97 Rock is teaming up with a number of local celebrities to "Rock out Hunger" this week. 97 Rock's D.J. Jickster will be living in a trailer until it is filled with food. Channel 7's Julie Fine and Linda Pellegrino, along with Hall of Fame QB Jim Kelly will be joining him Thursday.
