Lockport, NY (WKBW) -- Lockport Police responded to a vehicle-pedestrian accident Tuesday afternoon on Porter Street in the City of Lockport.

Upon arrival, officers found 17-year-old Adam Mottorn unconscious in the street. Responders called for Mercy Flight who transported the victim to ECMC where later died.

Officers then began to receive information indicating that the incident may not have been an accident.

Witnesses reported that a green Chevy S-10 pick-up was stopped at the curb and that the operator accelerated towards the victim as he crossed the street. The pick-up struck the pedestrian with the left-frond driver side of the vehicle.

Police in Lockport recovered that vehicle earlier Wednesday, and say the incident was a drug deal gone bad.
