They've already done it in West Seneca, Evans, Orchard Park and Alden.

Now, the Town of Hamburg has joined the ranks. Voters on Tuesday night decided to follow the leader and cut the size of its town board.

Advocate Kevin Gaughan spearheaded the drive to cut the town board from five members to three. He has been the leading force in all of these recent votes to downsize local governments.

The vote passed by a two-to-one margin.
