Hamburg, NY (WKBW) -- Voters in the Town of Hamburg have until 8 p.m. tonight to vote yes or no on a government downsizing measure.

The proposal, if passed, would shrink the size of the Town Board from its current 5 members down to 3.

Downsizing advocate Kevin Gaughan along with local supporters were out in Hamburg early this morning in an effort to encourage voters to approve the proposed measure.

Residents in West Seneca, Evans, Orchard Park, and Alden have all voted to downsize their local governments in recent months.

All 21 polling places in the Town of Hamburg will be open until 8 p.m. tonight.
