Buffalo, NY (WKBW) -- Here are the top stories from Good Morning Western New York.

17-year-old Jonathan Miller was killed instantly when his car struck a tree off Lewiston Road just after 5:30 p.m. Sunday night. The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Police in Kenmore have identified the man who was killed over the weekend in a hit-and-run incident. Russell Reuman was hit and killed by a pick-up truck on Military Road Saturday night.

New York State may already be halting the proposed new license plates. Lawmakers issued a statement Sunday afternoon saying the State Assembly will act to repeal the law that would have required New Yorkers to get the new "Empire Gold" plates starting this April.
