Buffalo, NY (WKBW) -- Ty Pennington, the host of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" is excited to be in Buffalo, helping the Powell family of Massachusetts Avenue in building them a brand new home.
Channel 7 cameras caught up with Ty while he was shooting elements of the program in front of Buffalo's City Hall.
Ty commented on the incredible dedication to family and community as one of the reasons the production team chose Delores Powell and her family in their decision to come to Buffalo. Powell is a community activist with PUSH Buffalo, and has been struggling financially with her children in a Massachusetts Avenue home that was barely livable.
In the one on one interview, Ty was amazed at the number of volunteers that signed up to help with the project. Ty noted that more people volunteered in Buffalo than in any other city.
More with Ty, and the "Extreme Makeover: Home Improvement" show in Buffalo on Eyewitness News and Good Morning WNY all week.
