Salons Taking Extra Precautions Because of H1N1Four year old Giovanni pretty much always has a smile on his face. His mom is going the extra mile so he stays a healthy kid with the H1N1 virus going around. "As soon as they get in the car from being out they wash their hands. As soon as we get home we wash our hands," said his mother Dana Indelicato. He gets his hair cut at a salon where they too are on the offensive when it comes to the H1N1 virus. At Kids Cuts R Fun, the scissors are right next to sanitizers. "We keep the shop as clean as we can, and the parents are really comfortable brining them here," said owner Grace Carducci. Every morning, Grace is in an hour before there are customers. They sterilize the toys every day and the brushes are sterilized as well. Now they change the cape on every kid that comes in, and they are each washed every night. Parents who come in are now asking more questions. "They are really becoming more aware of, did I use that cape on the last child, where before nobody really cared," added Carducci. After Giovanni's haircut, he too washed his hands. His mom knows this is how it now goes in an H1N1 world. "You get the vaccine and you are careful with your kids, and pray to god that nothing happens," said Indelicato. Most ViewedMore Good Stuff |
