Local Census Bureau Hiring for Upcoming Census

Buffalo, NY (WKBW) -- The local Buffalo office of the US Census Bureau is recruiting job-seekers for the upcoming 2010 census.

Officials say that hundreds of positions need to filled in the City of Buffalo and its immediate suburbs to complete the 2010 decennial census.

The Buffalo office has a goal of testing at least 7,000 applicants between now and late April, 2010.

Entry-level field positions pay $13.50 per hour, and officials are asking anyone interested in signing up for the 30-minute qualifying test to call 1-866-861-2010.
