The Chairman of the State Senate Finance Committee was in Buffalo today. Senator Carl Kruger sat with local lawmakers, and they heard from dozens of organizations, from health care to libraries to education. All there will receive a cut; many organizations that were also cut in the last budget process.

The four CEO's of local hospital systems sat together as one and addressed the State Senators. Kaleida Health, Erie County Medical Center, Roswell Park Cancer Institute and the Catholic Health System each lost millions of dollars last year, and stand to lose millions more with additional cuts the Governor has proposed because of the growing deficit in the state. The speakers each explained how this will affect their hospitals, and health care for residents.
