Buffalo, NY (WKBW) -- Buffalo Police have made an arrest in the beating death of a 9-month old infant.

Officers responded to a rescue call involving the infant child on Monday, October 26. The infant was pronounced dead later that morning at ECMC.

An autopsy performed on the child revealed that the infant's death was a result of a severe beating, showing extensive internal and external injuries.

Deputy Police Commissioner Daniel Derenda said, "It's the most disturbing autopsy report I've ever seen."

The father of the child, 25-year old Darnell Miller was subsequently questioned at police headquarters, where he confessed to the beating to homicide squad detectives.

Miller has been arrested and charged with 2nd degree murder for beating his son and causing his death. He is currently being held without bail.
