He has been on the job for under a month, but Dr. David Steiner is already crisscrossing the state. He is doing a listening tour, speaking to educators and students in schools. Today, he went to the Charter School for Applied Technologies, the newly renovated South Park High School, and Clarence High School. Regents Chancellor Emeritus Robert Bennett was with Dr. Steiner as he visited the schools in the area. Eyewitness News asked Steiner about possible budget cuts.
"We are looking at districts. We have 700 places where sharing of health programs, sharing of transport, sharing of resources can be a means of cutting costs," said Dr. Steiner.
