Orchard Park - Quarterback Trent Edwards was on the field as the Bills opened the practice week on Wednesday, but he will not play on Sunday against the Houston Texans. Edwards did some work in individual drills with the team, but has already been ruled out as he recovers from a concussion. Ryan Fitzpatrick will make his second consecutive start for the Bills under center against the Texans.
Bills safety Donte Whitner was in attendance on Wednesday, but did not participate. Missing were Defensive Tackle Kyle Williams, Tight end Shawn Nelson, Offensive Tackle Jonathan Scott and Fullback Corey McIntyre.
In other Bills news Punter Brian Moorman has been named AFC special teams player of the week for his performance against the Carolina Panthers.
