Batavia, N.Y. - (13WHAM.com) The driver of a tractor trailer is in a Buffalo hospital after a crash on the New York State Thruway.
The crash occurred just before 1 a.m. near Batavia Exit #48.
The rig, carrying bananas, crashed and trapped the driver. He was taken to the hospital via Mercy Flight.
Police say the driver's injuries are serious but not life-threatening.
The exact cause of the crash has not yet been released.
