Red Cross Blood Drive

Local American Red Cross blood donation centers will open on today to collect blood. The Red Cross has a special need for type O negative blood.

Donation centers are open today from 7am to 1pm at the Red Cross Blood Center, 786 Delaware Avenue in Buffalo, 301 Meadow Drive, North Tonawanda, 5161 Camp Road, Hamburg, or 4267 Transit Road, Williamsville.

Tea Anyone?

A group of citizens of Western New York, in conjunction with the National Tea Party movement, are organizing a Tea Party rally in Niagara Square, across from Buffalo City Hall at noon today to protest the spending of trillions of dollars in borrowed money, which organizers say will leave future generations of Americans a debt they will not be able to repay.

Similar rallies will be held all across the United States on July 4. More

Food Bank Bake Sale

Goodiefest, which is the city's largest bake sale, takes place this evening at 5pm at the Eire Canal Harbor Central Wharf. The event includes live bands and a fireworks display. Proceeds go to benefit the Food Bank of WNY.
