Air travelers may soon have an easier time determining if a commuter airline is operating a flight they're considering booking. In the wake of February's deadly crash of Continental Connections flight 3407 in Clarence Center that killed 50 people, Senator Charles Schumer is pushing legislation that would require on-line travel sites to notify customers on the first page of a flight search what carriers will be running the flights.

"The families, many of them said their loved ones who passed away on flight 3407 had no idea they were flying a commuter airline -- Colgan Air because on the website, on the tickets, on everything else it says Continental," explains Schumer.

Regional carriers operate 40 percent of U.S. commercial flights.
