Bob Coleman is making a desperate plea for his daughter's life.
"I can only ask everybody to please give prayers," he told Eyewitness News outside of Erie County Medical Center on Tuesday night. "Somehow we need to stop this kind of violence."
His daughter, Kiele (pronounced=Kyle) Coleman, 22, remains hospitalized in critical condition at the hospital. She was shot in the head on Monday while riding in the front passenger seat of her boyfriend's car on St. Lawrence Ave. in North Buffalo.
"She went through the one surgery," Bob Coleman said. "She still has a bullet in her head behind her eye socket. Every day, every hour, we just keep praying for her."
Kiele's boyfriend, Frank Militello, 26, was also shot. He was driving the car and crashed it into a tree seconds after the shooting.
Buffalo police believe the couple was shot by someone who was riding along with them in the car's back seat.
They are looking for Adrienne March, 21, of St. Lawrence Ave. She's being described as a person of interest. She may be using the alias Vanessa Gregory, according to police.
Late Tuesday night, police found a vehicle they believe March had been driving. The 1999 Oldsmobile Alero was discovered on Peter Street in Black Rock.
Bob Coleman said his daughter and March attended high school together. He believes his daughter and her boyfriend gave the woman a ride.
"If Kiele knew somebody, she would pick them up and give them a ride. That's the kind of person Kiele was and is," he said.
Coleman said his daughter's purse was missing from the car and hasn't been located at her apartment. He believes robbery was the motive.
Police have remained tight-lipped about a possible motive for the double shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call the city's confidential police tipline at 847-2255.
