Young voters are expected to go to the polls in record numbers on Tuesday. Eyewitness News talked with students at Medaille College who are voting for president for the first time.

"Being a college student, I'm quite busy," said Brian Vital. "I'm also on the baseball team. I try to be informed with the debates on television."

But Vital said he still does not know who he is going to vote for.

"And I guess when I get into the booth, I'm going to make a gut decision," he said.

Tim Monczynski said the decision for him was an easy one. He's voting for Republican John McCain.

"My decision has been strong," Monczynski said. "Because I agree with a lot of the things that McCain has said."

Jaclyn Rhinehart support Democrat Barack Obama, even though she admits, she doesn't know a lot about the candidate.

"Politicians are politicians," Rhinehart said. "At the end of the day I feel that they're going to say what the American people want to hear."
