Buffalo Police investigating a Saturday afternoon shooting. Around 3:30, a 21-year-old male was transported to the Erie County Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries after a shooting near the intersection of Best Street and Pershing Avenue.

The victim, Daniel Bowman, of Landon Street in Buffalo told Buffalo Police investigators that he was walking when at least one individual came up to him and shot him. It looks like the victim was shot twice, once in the wrist and once in the leg area.

The search for the assailant or assailants is underway at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call the Confidential Tip-line at 847-2255.
