BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) - A fight a few blocks south of the
University at Buffalo South Campus early Saturday sent a student to
Erie County Medical Center in serious condition after he was
knocked unconscious.
City police say they responded to a call about a large fight
about 3:15 a.m.
They found John Ojeda unconscious on the ground with a cut to
the back of his head. Hospital officials told the Buffalo News they
expect him to make a full recovery.
Witnesses told police two men punched Ojeda in the face, causing
him to hit his head on the ground.
University police were already investigating two rapes on the
South Campus by men who were strangers to the victims. A
24-year-old woman said two men accosted her early Thursday, beat
her up, and one raped her while the other held her down.
A freshman told police early last Sunday, she stepped outside
for fresh air was grabbed from behind and raped.
