Woman Falls Asleep At Wheel, Causes Accident

A young woman who apparently fell asleep at the wheel is believed to be responsible for an accident on Route 5 in the Town of Irving Thursday morning.
26 year old Nicole Cooper was flown to ECMC by Mercy Flight after police say she fell asleep briefly, but woke up to realize she was off the road, over-adjusted and wound up being hit by an oncoming SUV which sent her car into a ditch.
Cooper suffered some minor head and neck injuries and is expected to be ok.
