Dead Animals, Garbage and Children Sharing Sloan Apartment

Dead Animals, Garbage and Children Sharing Sloan Apartment

By John Borsa

As many as 50 animals; some alive, some dead, were discovered in a Sloan apartment on Wednesday afternoon.

Cheektowaga police were called to 153 Lackawanna Avenue for a report of a fowl odor coming from the upstairs apartment.

"There was a collection of dead animals, living animals, the whole house was just in a mess," said Capt. John Glascott. "There's food laying all over the place. There's animal feces laying all over the place."

The couple who resides in the apartment is facing charges of animal cruelty. Even worse, they shared the apartment with their two young children, an infant and a toddler, Glascott said.
