A Houghton College adjunct professor is now arrested facing charges involving sexual abuse and drugs.
New York State Police say 55-year-old Craig Fellenstein has been charged with sexual abuse, forcible touching, unlawfully dealing with a child and criminal sale of marijuana. The arrest came after several female students at Houghton College made several allegations regarding Fellenstein.

"There were some allegations of wrong doing by the professor, by a couple of students," said New York State Police Investigator Speckman. "The allegations were that these kids were partying with this professor, that's why he was arrested for alcohol and drug charges. One girl also made allegations of some sexual involvement."

Houghton College releasing this statement to 7 News saying:

"We are aware that state police are conducting an investigation regarding allegations of an adjunct faculty member Craig Fellenstein. The college is and will continue to cooperate with law enforcement authorities during this investigation. He is no longer employed by Houghton College and will not be on campus."

Fellenstein was arraigned before Belfast Town Justice Dawn Young. He is being held at Allegany County Jail on $1,000 bail. Houghton College is also conducting their own internal investigation.
