Andrew Vona, a defense attorney for one of the Wilson High School students accused of sexual abuse telling 7 News today he has received a letter calling for a potential plea deal from the Niagara County District Attorney's Office.

"We received a letter late yesterday afternoon from the district attorney's office, which outlines the offer of a potential disposition of all 3 of the co-defendants," said Vona.

Three Wilson High School students are accused of sexual abuse during a varsity baseball bus ride.

"This is a pretty complex case. I'm sure its not a situation where anyone relishes the idea of dragging it through a trial," added Vona. "We will weigh the potential consequences of our client and we will weigh where in the long run this will lead them."

A court appearance was scheduled tonight in Wilson Court, but rescheduled for late August due to the district attorney's letter of a potential plea deal. The next court date is scheduled for August 28th.
