Waterspouts Spotted in Western New York
It's been another rough afternoon in parts of Western New York. Severe storms brought everything from wind and rain, to hail, and even some funnel clouds.
You can see several images of waterspouts today -- captured by 7 News viewers on our YouNewsTV site. One photo shows two waterspouts off Van Buren point in Chautauqua County - heading toward Dunkirk. Another image shows incredible detail at the bottom of the funnel - where it hits the lake - and shows how dark the clouds are. Still another image shows the waterspout as it approaches land - the waterspout lightening up in color - as it heads to shore. Waterspouts generally lose their strength when they move inland. |
