Vacant House Fire in Buffalo Spreads to Occupied Home

A two alarm fire lights up the sky early this morning on East Eagle and Smith Streets in Buffalo. The fire started in a vacant house and spread to a neighboring home that is occupied. Firefighters were cautious about going inside the vacant house because of the potential for injury. Total damage is pegged at $80,000. There is no word yet on a cause and the Red Cross has been called in to help the residents of the occupied house.
