County Budget Battles

It was a heated debate between County Legislators about a 51 Million Dollar Capital borrowing plan. Some concerned certain projects were not addressed, others thinking projects need to be underway now. In the end, it was voted down nine to five.

Just before the Legislature had a stormy session, the Erie County Fiscal Stability Authority questioned Erie County's Budget director on another budget issue, the four year plan, that has yet to be approved. Director Joseph Goodell went as far as to call it superficial, and the board calling for more work on it.

Collins, after debates over borrowing, and this meeting today, said "It is time for them to go."
