Titanic Sinking headlines 1912 Newspaper

A Buffalo man says his newspaper is a piece of history - and he's right. Spiro Eleftheratos now owns a newspaper dating back to 1912 and it's no ordinary old paper. The Headline on his April 19th 1912 Newspaper? Titanic Passengers returning home.

"This is more than gold to me," said Eleftheratos. "This is the history of the titanic that was found in a building. My whole body shook, because mean this is history here and bringing this back to life just for a minute its worth it."

Eleftheratos said a friend discovered it at a house he was repairing. He says his friend was repairing a roof on a north buffalo house, and found a leak going inside the house. After he found where the leak was inside, he decided to tear through the wall to repair the damage, and that's when he found the newspaper dating to April 19th 1912.

"You read this and your imagination takes you for a ride. God preserved this for a reason," added Eleftheratos.

Eletheratos plans to donate the newspaper to a local museum after he enjoys this rare treasure for a few more years.
