It is the confrontation that launched a City investigation. Members of Buffalo's Mayor's Impact Team caught on camera spending a Friday afternoon working in a City employee's back yard. Impact team member Bill Buyers is seen on video ordering the other City workers around. One even took off his City shirt off after realizing 7 News was taping what they were doing.

Members of the Buffalo Common Council want answers and are calling for a full audit. "That's a major offense and I think it should be dealt with more severely to be honest with you. Everybody knows you don't do those types of deals." said Councilman Rich Fontana.

Councilman Fontana is concerned about potential criminal activity."The FBI could even get involved any situation when it becomes public corruption, if it rises to any levels like that... I mean you don't use City time on your own property. Everybody knows that."

City Comptroller Andy Sanfillipo had already planned to launch a full audit to find out what happened and for how long. "Were gonna look at the operations, the time sheets, the equipment that was utilized, and then see wether or not we have wide spread abuse in the Mayors Impact Team." said Sanfilippo.

All 3 men involved were suspended by Mayor Byron Brown the day it happened. Buyers was suspended for 15 days, the other two men for 5 days. They were all suspended without pay. "We are going to get to the bottom of this and get to the bottom if it quickly, and take the appropriate action." said Brown.

Sanfilippo says his audit should be wrapped up in a matter of weeks. He's also launched a fraud hotline. The phone number is 851-8779.
