WNY Reacts to Spitzer's Resignation

By Kyla Igoe

Yesterday, the Elliot Spitzer Scandal was the talk of the town, and today it was no different. But instead of talking about the scandal, people were eager to voice their opinions about Spitzer's decision to resign from office.

"I think it was a good idea," said North Buffalo resident Jill Kakuvczak. "It was the right decision because what he did was a disgrace, its just not right."

Many others agreed with Kakuvczak's statement and also believe Spitzer should face criminal charges

"When you take someone over state lines it becomes a federal crime," said Margaret Dick, a Buffalo resident. "So I guess he shouldn't walk free because why should he be any different than anyone else?"

Again, people hit the internet, radio and other media outlets to stress their opinions on the issue. Blogs were also filled with Spitzer topics.

Even though many were very critical on the issue, some showed a compassionate side.

"I just feel bad for his family," said Clarence Resident Mike Weixlmann.
