Crews are working around the clock to turn Ralph Wilson Stadium into a hockey rink. Today they laid sand onto the foundation of the rink, added refrigeration fluid to freeze it, and they plan on adding a layer of ice on top of it by midnight tonight. After that, they'll paint logos and lines on the ice, then add another layer of ice.
Meanwhile, the Buffalo Niagara Convention and Visitors Bureau is gearing up to make sure out-of-towners coming for the game enjoy their stay in Buffalo. At the Adam's Mark, where NHL staffers will stay, the CVB will set up an information center with maps, information and even someone to make reservations at local restaurants. They'll also set up tables at other hotels in the area to provide Winter Classic guests with guides to the area.
