A Wellsville Middle School student was reported to police after bringing a gun to school Monday morning.
According to police, the 12-year-old student brought an air soft gun to school.
The student was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Person Under the Age of 16.
An appearance ticket was issued to the student to appear at the Allegany County Probation Department at a later date.
The weapon was never displayed in school and no students were threatened or in danger at any time.
