Michael Beck discovered that he liked to draw when he was a teenager. Retired after 20 years in the Air Force, he now works for We Care Transportation driving for individuals with special needs.

In his spare time Michael likes to paint pictures. He's painted a lot of them, some on canvas but mostly on felt. You may not find his creations in galleries, but that's because he carries most of them rolled up in his bag. He will unroll them anytime someone wants to take a look.

He paints just about everything but has a special affinity for lighthouses, landscapes, roses and Tweetie Bird. Michael says he finds his artwork therapeutic and recommends painting to everyone. "If you want to draw, draw. If you want to swish a paint brush you should do it. Just do it," according to Michael.

He hasn't sold any paintings but he's more interested in making people smile than he is in being recognized as the "next great artist". He says, "I like to make people happy."
