Residents on Main Street say they're used to the flooding, and most of them say they have waterproofed their basements and taken every precaution.

Water is overflowing from Ellicot Creek. So far two roads have been closed because of flooding, including Aero Drive in Cheektowaga and Stony Road in Lancaster.

A basketball court and picnic area on Main Street in Bowmansville have been totally swallowed by the water. The Bowmansville volunteer fire chief says this all happened because of the snow and quick thaw.

The fire hall had one thousand sand bags delivered Tuesday. They were put up all around the building and neighbors came and grabbed some if they needed them.

Residents are used to flooding, especially on Stony Road and backyards on Main Street, but they say it usually doesn't happen now.

Some are used to the flooding but others say they'd really like to see something done. They hope that the county can do a study, to stop this from happening year after year.
