BUFFALO, NY (WKBW)- 21-year-old Brandon Harper was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison Tuesday after an Erie County Jury found him guilty of 1st Degree Murder. Harper was the gunman during an attempted robbery on Ellicott Street in the city that left 35-year-old Joseph Hale dead on July 1st, 2011. Police say Harper and another man, 25-year-old Kevin Milon, tried to rob Hale. Harper then fired at the 35-year-old as he tried to flee. During Harper's trial, the 21-year-old accused Milon, of being the shooter. Milon plead guilty to manslaughter and received 25 years in prison for his crime.
