The Niagara Falls Water Board released a statement Saturday giving an update on the repair of the water main break on 47th Street and Niagara Falls Boulevard from last month

Officials say the physical repair is complete, but the Department of Health requires testing the water to ensure it meets all safety protocols.

Results are expected by Monday, as lab testing takes around 48 hours, according to the water board. Once cleared, the NFWB will begin pressurizing the area, saying that's the best practice and standard procedure.

Ratepayers should see the full restoration of normal water pressure by mid-to-late next week.
