Jamestown police are issuing a warning after receiving information that skimming devices could be being used in the City of Jamestown and in the Town of Ellicott.

A skimming device or card reader can be illegally connected to anything used to pay for something using your credit or bank card. This includes gas pumps, ATMs, and vending machines.

Police are warning people to look for machines that may have been tamped with.

If you have fallen victim to a skimmer, call police and your bank immediately.
