Jamestown man arrested after narcotics were found in vehicle

Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies and members of the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task made a narcotics arrested Thursday evening in the Town of Ellicott.

Allen Yarbrough, 29 of Jamestown was initially arrested for an outstanding warrant, but through further investigation for narcotics trafficking by Yarbrough, deputies issued a search warrant for the vehicle he operated. 

Deputies report, the Task Force located and seized 12 grams of uncut heroin, one-half ounce of methamphetamine, 100 hydrocodone tablets and 21 dosage units of Suboxone. They also found packing materials and scales used for distribution. 

A handgun that was loaded, and reportedly stolen was inside the vehicle as well. 

Yarbrough's charges include 5 counts of Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 4th Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree.

He will be arraigned at a later in the Town of Ellicott Court. Officers say an investigation is on going and several other charges are pending.
