Arrest Made In Bizzare Incident Caught On Tape

BUFFALO, NY (WKBW) - There is bizarre video caught by an amateur photographer of a car crash that lead to a chase in Niagara Square.

The video is on YouTube and shows a van and SUV slamming into one another. As the SUV tries to get away, people jump out of the van and begin to chase the other vehicle.Then, a car chase began, witnessed by members of the "Occupy Buffalo" group who have been rallying in Niagara Square.

"I saw an SUV with its tires blown out and a women screaming at the top of her lungs her child got abducted. The SUV made 2 or 3 circles around the courthouse. When he came back in our general direction I seriously thought he was going to kill somebody," protester Michael Mottern said.

Monday afternoon, Buffalo Police issued a release to Eyewitness News stating that they arrested 48 year old Ronald Crews of Buffalo and charged him with reckless endangerment, reckless driving, DWI and other charges.

The incident happened Saturday night at approximately 10p.m. in and around Niagara Square.

Central District Officers say that Crews rammed his vehicle into another car and was driving while intoxicated with juveniles in his vehicle.
