Major Patrick Miller Returns to WNY

Cheektowaga, NY (WKBW) - Major Patrick Miller has returned home. He arrived at the Buffalo Niagara International Airport at about 12:30 on Friday afternoon.

Friends and family greeted Major Miller with hugs, cheers and tears.

Miller was shot on April 2nd, when a fellow soldier opened fire at Ft. Hood. Sixteen people were injured and three were killed, in addition to the gunman.

Dozens with the Patriot Guard also came to welcome home Miller. The airport erupted in cheers as he walked towards the elevators.

Many consider Miller a hero. After hearing the gunshots, Miller left his Channel 7 will have team coverage of Miller's return at 5 and 6.
