It's almost Easter which means it's also butter season here in Western New York.

The butter lamb is headed to many Western New York tables this Sunday.

So while you're digging into yours this Easter, you may want to take a moment to reflect on how these little lambs came to be such a tasty part of Buffalo tradition.

The tradition started back in the early 70's when Dorothy Malczewski began producing them and while she wasn't the first to make a one, she certainly raised the butter lamb bar when she opened up shop at the Broadway Market.
