ORCHARD PARK, NY (WKBW-TV) - Buffalo Bills linebacker Kiko Alonso has suffered an injury while working out in Oregon.
Late Tuesday night ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Alonso suffered a torn ACL and will miss the entire 2014 season.
Bills General Manager Doug Waley released a statement tonight saying: "We have learned tonight that Kiko Alonso injured his knee while working out in Oregon. We do not have the details at this point, but early indications are that it may be significant."
Alonso was an NFL defensive rookie of the year contender last year after being drafted Buffalo in the second round out of Oregon.
The Bills have been off since ending a mandatory minicamp two weeks ago. Players are scheduled to report for the start of training camp in suburban Rochester on July 18.
