The Chautauqua County Sheriff's announced two of Erie, Pennsylvania's 'Most Wanted' are in custody after a high speed chase came to an end on I-86 in the Town of Sherman.

Around 11 a.m. Saturday, City of Erie Police and Pennsylvania State Police attempted to apprehend William A. Lisek, 48, and Shaline Pepperman, 36, both of Erie.

Lisek, who is wanted for a strong armed robbery and weapons charges, failed to comply with the stop, leading both agencies on a high speed chase.

The chase eventually crossed over into New York on I-86 and the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office and New York State Police were requested to assist.

As the chase continued near the Sherman exit, Lisek lost control and spun out, he then began driving westbound in the eastbound lanes.

In an attempt to stop the vehicle from going head-on with any other vehicles, a Pennsylvania State Trooper hit the vehicle and disabled it.

The trooper was not injured, Lisek and Pepperman were transported to Hamot Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Lisek is being charged with reckless driving, speed in zone over 100 miles per hour, and other violations.

Additional charges are also pending against both Lisek and Pepperman pending the investigation.
