McQuaid Jesuit High School's crew team will row, row, row their boat from Amherst to Albany.

The seven student crew is participating in 'Row for Hope' and traveling 340 miles in eight days. They're rowing the length of the Erie Canal in support of the Kelly for Kids Foundation, started by former Bills quarterback Jim Kelly.

The boys will row an average of about 45 miles or 10 hours a day. Five team members will make up the rowing team at any time, with one person steering and the other four rowing.

Parents of the team members will follow in a motor boat with the two remaining rowers for rotation. Other parents will drive the route, setting up campsites along the canal for rest.

The 'Row for Hope' is in its fifth year, you can learn more about the program here.
