Zinc For The Common Cold

(WKBW/ABC News) Feeling a cold coming on? You may want to take some zinc.

Researchers found that zinc did reduce the duration and severity of the common cold in healthy people when taken within 24 hours of the onset of symptoms.

They also found that it lowered the risk of getting a cold by 36 percent in people taking zinc supplements.
